About Vuzo Player

A TV player made to be used from the sofa, remote in hand.

What it is

Vuzo Player is an app for watching the list of TV, films and series you've subscribed to from a provider. It isn't a content service: it doesn't produce, sell, host or recommend channels, films or lists. What we do is the part between your list and your screen — organising, showing, reminding, recording and making it all quick to use.

Why it exists

Many list apps were designed for phones and then adapted for TV. On the sofa, with an arrow-key remote, it shows: cursors that disappear, menus where you can't tell where you are, huge lists that take ages to open. Vuzo was built the other way round — first for the remote, with an always-visible cursor and predictable paths, and then for touch.

The second idea was the myVuzo page: instead of opening on a list of a thousand channels, Vuzo opens on what matters to whoever is watching — what was left halfway, the usual channels and suggestions drawn from their own history, profile by profile.

How we work

  • We measure before we change. Every version is tested on four screen formats — box, Firestick, phone in portrait and in landscape — and compared with the previous version.
  • We listen to the people who use it. Many of the features came from specific requests: keyword alerts in the guide, kids' profiles, Light mode for slower boxes.
  • Modest devices matter. We test on slow boxes and projectors, not just high-end devices.
  • 24 languages. The app and the website are translated into 24 languages.

Who it's for

For people who already have a list and want a nicer way to watch it. For families, with a profile for each person and parental control. For people with several TVs who want “Continue watching” and their favourites to carry over from one to another. And for people with an old box who are tired of waiting: Vuzo stores the catalogue on the device and only goes back to the internet for what has changed.

You can try everything for 14 days without paying anything and without ads, and keep using it for free after that. See the features and the frequently asked questions.

What we don't do

We don't supply lists, we don't recommend providers and we don't help anyone access content without authorisation. Each user is responsible for having the right to watch what their list contains. If you have questions about your list, talk to the provider who sold it to you.

Your privacy

Your list details are yours. The QR code for sending feedback carries only a random code — never your account or your password. The details are in the privacy policy.
