Guides and help

Step by step, to get Vuzo up and running and make the most of it.

Getting started

Everyday use

Before you ask for help

Many picture problems come from the list, not the app. Before you write to us, it's worth checking three things:

  1. Is the list active? Vuzo shows the list's expiry date when the provider sends it. If it has expired, only the provider can renew it.
  2. Are there enough connections? Many lists only allow one device to watch at a time. If the picture freezes when someone turns on another TV, that's the limit.
  3. Can your internet keep up? An HD channel needs a stable connection. A cable is almost always better than Wi-Fi, especially on boxes.

In the app, under Settings → Diagnostics, there's a report with the timings and errors from your session, which helps us understand what happened. Then get in touch.

A short glossary

The words used in the guides, explained plainly:

  • List (or line) — the access you bought from a provider. Vuzo saves your lists in your account and you can have more than one.
  • Xtream Codes — a type of access with three details: server address, username and password. It's the most complete.
  • M3U — a text-based list format, which can come as an address or as a file.
  • EPG — the programme guide: what's on each channel, and when. It comes in a format called XMLTV.
  • VOD — the films and series in your list, which you watch whenever you like.
  • Catch-up (or archive) — programmes that have already aired and that the provider has kept for a few days.
  • Connections — how many devices your list lets you watch on at the same time. A recording or multiview also counts.
  • Box — the device connected to the TV via HDMI that runs Android TV, Google TV or Fire TV.
