Features

Everything Vuzo Player does with the list you already have — on your phone, your box, your Firestick and your projector.

A player for your list

Vuzo Player doesn't sell channels or content. It's the app where you open the list your provider gave you — whether that's an Xtream Codes login (server address, username and password), an M3U address or an M3U file saved on your device. From there, Vuzo organises everything into three tabs: TV, Movies and Series, using your provider's categories.

It was designed to be used with a TV remote: every screen has a visible cursor, the arrows always take you where you'd expect, and the BACK button goes back one step. On a phone it works the same way with your finger.

myVuzo: your home page

When you open a list, Vuzo starts on myVuzo: a page made for you, with what you were watching (picking up at the right minute), the channels you watch most, films and series recommended based on what you usually watch, and what's recently been added to your list. The recommendations change every day.

In the myVuzo search you can type the way you talk — for example, “90s comedies” — and Vuzo searches your list. Suggestions appear as you type, and you can pick them with the remote.

Live TV and programme guide

  • TV guide (EPG) as a grid, showing what's on now and what's on next, when your provider supplies it. See the EPG guide.
  • Reminders: mark a programme in the guide and Vuzo alerts you before it starts, even when the app is closed.
  • Watch programmes that have already aired (catch-up), when your provider keeps an archive: pick it in the guide and it plays from the start.
  • Multiview: 2, 3 or 4 channels at the same time, depending on how many connections your list allows.
  • Your own channel groups, favourites, and categories in the order you choose — or hidden.

Recording

Record what you're watching with one press, or schedule a programme that's still to come from the guide. The recording is saved on the device or on a USB stick, and you watch it later inside the app. The recording guide explains the steps and what to watch out for.

Films and series

Every film and series has its own details page, with synopsis, year and rating when your provider sends them. Vuzo remembers where you stopped in each film and each episode, and that position follows you to your other devices. You can sort by name or by the date it was added to the list.

In the player you choose the audio track and subtitles (and their size), when the content has them. If you prefer, you can open videos in an external player installed on the device, such as VLC or MX Player.

Profiles and parental control

Everyone in the household can have their own profile, with their own favourites, history and recommendations. There are kids' profiles that only show children's content. Adult categories and settings can be protected with a PIN code.

Built for big lists and modest devices

Some lists have more than 100,000 films, series and channels. Vuzo stores the catalogue on the device itself, so the second time you open it is fast, and it has a Light mode for boxes with little memory.

Devices and languages

Android phones and tablets, Android TV and Google TV boxes, Amazon Fire TV (Firestick) and Android projectors. The app and the website are available in 24 languages. See how to install it: Android and Google TV box, Firestick and LG TVs.

Some features depend on your provider: if your list doesn't send a TV guide, an archive, subtitles or multiple audio tracks, Vuzo can't make them up.

Free and with a licence

For the first 14 days everything is unlocked and there are no ads. After that you can keep using Vuzo for free, with ads, on one device and with one active list. A licence removes the ads and unlocks the rest: recording, reminders, multiview, catch-up, channel groups, the sleep timer and more devices.
