Add an Xtream or M3U list

Vuzo doesn't come with content: this is where you connect the list your provider gave you.

What you need

A list is the access you bought from a provider. It almost always comes in one of these three formats, and Vuzo accepts all three:

  • Xtream Codes — three details: the server address (for example http://servidor.exemplo:8080), the username and the password. It's the most complete format: it brings TV, films, series, the TV guide and often an archive.
  • M3U address — a single long address, which usually ends in get.php?username=…&password=…&type=m3u or in .m3u.
  • M3U file — a file you have saved. Vuzo reads it and stores it only on the device.
If your provider gave you Xtream details and also an M3U address, choose Xtream: it loads faster and gives more information (covers, synopses, guide).

Step by step: Xtream Codes

  1. Sign in to your Vuzo account and, on the lines screen, choose Add Line.
  2. Choose the API Xtream Codes mode.
  3. Give the line a name (it's just for you — for example “Home”).
  4. Fill in, in this order, the Server URL, the Username and the Password.
  5. Press Save. The line appears in the list; select it to open it.

Type the address exactly as you received it, with http:// and with the port (the colon and the number at the end), if there is one. You don't need to add anything else to the address.

Step by step: M3U address or file

In Add Line, choose M3U list and paste the full address. In this mode you can also enter a separate TV guide (XMLTV) address, if your provider gave you one — see the EPG guide.

For a file, choose M3U file. On a box, Vuzo shows a QR code: you open that address on your phone, on the same Wi-Fi network, and send the file to the TV with no cables or USB sticks.

The first time you open it

The first time you open a list, Vuzo downloads the whole catalogue — channels, films and series — to store it on the device. With a large list this can take up to a minute; the bar shows the progress up to 100%. After that, it opens in seconds.

If the list won't load

  • “Wrong username or password”: check capital letters, spaces at the end and similar-looking characters (l, I, 1; O and 0).
  • The server doesn't respond: check the address and the port. If your provider has moved to a new server, they need to give you the new address.
  • The list has expired: only the provider can renew it. Vuzo has no access to providers' accounts.
  • It loads but films or series are missing: some lists are TV only. Vuzo shows what the list sends.

On the free plan you can have one active list; with a licence, several. To switch lists, go back to the lines screen with the home button.
